Hello!! My name is Jordyn LaMirand and I am the new 6th and 8th Grade Academic Support Teacher this year. This is my first year of teaching, and I am so excited to start my career at Dripping Springs Middle School. Here is a little about me...

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas along with my 5 other siblings. I attended Texas A&M University and received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I then moved back to the Austin area to be with my husband and attended Texas State University where I completed my Master of Education in Special Education with a specialization in Learning Disabilities and Inclusion. While completing my Masters, I was a substitute teacher for DSISD, so you may have seen me around before!

In January of 2016, I married Mr. L, one of the 6th grade Science teachers at DSMS. We live in Dripping Springs with our 2 dogs, 2 cats, and bearded dragon (who is Mr. L's classroom pet). In our spare time, we love to spend time with family and friends, watch movies, and do fun activities outside!
